Boasting over 100 miles of shoreline, the lake is chalked full of a variety of fish including catfish, sac-à-lait (crappie), and bass. The hours will go by in a flash while you're out on the lake!

Lake D'Arbonne is known for its great fishing opportunities. Some of the best fishing spots in or around the lake include:

  1. The North End - This area of the lake is known for its abundance of large bass, catfish, and crappie. The North End is also home to several creeks and channels that provide excellent cover for fish.

  2. The Dam - The spillway and the dam area of the lake are popular spots for catching big bass. The strong current in this area attracts a variety of fish, including catfish and stripers.

  3. The South End - The South End of the lake is known for its large population of crappie, bream, and catfish. This area is also home to several deep-water structures, such as brush piles and drop-offs, that provide excellent habitat for fish.

  4. The Main Lake - Fishing on the main lake can be productive all year round, with bass, crappie, catfish, and bream being caught in good numbers.

  5. The Caney Creek area - This area is known for its excellent crappie fishing, and the creek is a good spot for finding schools of crappie in the spring and fall.

  3. Fishing Trail: This easy, paved trail is a 0.5-mile loop that takes visitors along the lake's shoreline. The trail offers several fishing spots and picnic areas.

  4. Wildlife Viewing Trail: This easy, paved trail is a 0.5-mile loop that takes visitors through the park's wetlands and woodlands. Along the trail, visitors can see a variety of plant and animal life, including wildflowers, birds, and other wildlife.

Our cabins are meant to be your home away from home. With your cabin vacation packing list you won't waste a minute of vacation time and you'll be ready to move in, relax and enjoy the comforts of home. Our kitchen features full size appliances and a Keurig coffee maker and the cupboards are stocked with all the glassware, dishware, silverware and cookware necessary for you to cook and enjoy a family meal.
